Friday Feb. 10

One Love Cali Reggae Fest

What: The Queen Mary will be hosting a weekend full of reggae by the shore. KROQ presents One Love Cali that will feature more than 40 bands including Slightly Stoopid, 311, Dirty Heads, and more. Tickets are $65 for a single day and $125 for the three-day pass.

The Millennial Dilemma


What: In the spirit of Valentine’s Day this pop-up art show will take an intimate look at relationships. There will be live performances, paintings,  handwritten letters with the central theme of love, and the obstacles the modern millennial endures.

When: 6 – 11 p.m.
Where: Downtown Long Beach (location to be revealed on Feb 10.)

Moonlight Mash: Spread the Love


What: If you have ever wanted to get to know Long Beach better, this monthly cycling group gives a different perspective to the city by taking a spin around some local favorites and hidden gems. This month in honor of  Valentine’s Day, cyclists will be handing out flowers to Long Beach locals during the leisure ride around town.

When: 7 – 10 p.m.

Saturday Feb. 11

Netflix and Chill Group Art Show

What: With Valentine’s Day just around the corner this pop up art show will be revolving around art inspired by ‘Netflix and Chill.’ Live music will be performed by Nothing but Flowers and DJ Eusebio Akasa. This is a 21+ event and art submissions are welcomed.

When: 7 p.m. – 12 a.m.
Where: Public Beer Wine Shop, 121 W 4th St, Long Beach, CA
Dreamland: A Frank Romero Retrospective

What: Guests are welcomed to celebrate the opening of Dreamland, a modern retrospective exhibition with over 200 original pieces by Los Angeles artist Frank Romero. Food provided by local restaurants, live music by Chulita Vinyl Club and complimentary cupcakes and coffee from Viva Los Cupcakes and Primera Taza Coffee House.

When: 7 – 9 p.m.

February (Valentines) Beach Clean-up


What: Volunteers can spread the love at this Valentine’s themed beach clean up. The monthly clean up encourages attendees to bring loved ones to help clean and protect the ocean. The first 20 volunteers will earn a free grilled cheese at the Pike Restaurant and Bar on 4th Street right after the event. Cleaning supplies will be provided and certificates for community service hours will be available. Volunteers can check-in at the table near the Lifeguard Station (parking lot 66.)

Bella Novela, The Last Gang, Honey Chain

What: A triple threat of local female-fronted bands will perform live at The Prospector. The night will be featuring: Honeychain performing at 10 p.m. followed by The Last Gang at 10:45 p.m. and finishing off with Bella Novela at 11:30 p.m. Entry free before 10 p.m. and $5 after.

Sunday Feb. 12

L.A. Retro Festival

What: Step into the past with music, fashion, and art of Los Angeles at MOLAA’s L.A. Retro Festival. There will also be art workshops, live performances, vendors and gallery tours. Attendees are encouraged to come dressed in vintage clothes from any favorite era.

When: 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Long Beach High Performance Swap Meet

What: Join local car fanatics at the Long Beach Auto High-Performance Swap Meet! Vendors will be selling American Classic Parts and answering Repair and Restoration questions.

When: 6 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Where: Long Beach High Performance Swap Meet – 5000 E Lew Davis St, Long Beach, CA

Haute Dogs Bulldog Beauty Pageant

What: Dog lovers can attend the 14th annual Haute Dog Bulldog Beauty Contest that is billed as the largest gathering of English bulldogs in the world! There will also be other contests planned for all breeds/mixes including best dog, best tail, best smile, and more. Dogs will parade down the ‘red carpet’ and be judged by local real-life beauty queens. Proceeds will go towards Haute Dogs and animal welfare causes.
